BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - An early morning crashed claimed the life of one driver early Monday evening.
The crash happened at about 11:20 p.m. on interstate 5 near Lebec, Calif.
Kern County Sheriff's Department officials said 79-year-old Leland Evans crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer and died as a result of his injuries.
