Elaina was born and raised in Sacramento, and spent summers growing up in Ventura. Elaina graduated from Chico State in 2006 with a major in News Editorial. She completed 7 media internships while in college, including radio, television, and newspaper. She also spent a semester abroad in London studying Fine Arts and Humanities. After graduation she started her career in Yakima, Washington as a producer. Then after a few months there she jumped to a reporter/anchor position in Lawton Oklahoma. She spent a year and a half covering news in the plains, and then headed back west. Elaina is happy to call Bakersfield home, and when she’s not working, you can find her shopping, swimming, or out at the park with her puppy Emmy.
