POSTED: 11:13 am PDT July 23, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Bears signed tackle Chris Williams, the team's first-round draft choice and 14th overall selection, to a five-year contract Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder played 36 games at left tackle and left guard for Vanderbilt, finishing his career with 33 consecutive starts. He was named an All-Southeast Conference second-team selection in his junior season while earning first-team honors last year as a senior.

The Bears have signed all 12 of their draft picks while Williams becomes the eighth first-round selection to sign with his respective team.
