A man is behind bars after police said he was found with 76 pounds of marijuana in his SUV.

On Tuesday around 12:24 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers were patrolling the area of northbound SR-99 south of Woollomes Ave., when they noticed a Ford Explorer weaving in and out lanes and driving at a high rate of speed.

The officers stopped the vehicle and arrested Vicente Ochoa, 49, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

After the arrest was made, the officers searched the Explorer and said they located 76 pounds of marijuana in four large garbage bags.

The officers seized the marijuana and booked Ochoa at the Kern County Jail for illegal transportation of marijuana and DUI.
