Pursuit In Wasco Ends With 1 Arrested

WASCO, Calif. -- A man has been arrested after deputies said he failed to yield and lead deputies on a 30-minute chase.Around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, a deputy from the Wasco Substation attempted to stop a tan Chrysler New Yorker for traffic violations.Deputies said the driver of the vehicle, Thienvan Ngyen, 42, failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.
Deputies from the Wasco Substation pursued Ngyen at speeds no greater than 30 mph.The pursuit continued for approximately 30 minutes.The pursuit was terminated after the California Highway Patrol laid a spike strip in front of Ngyen’s vehicle at Hwy 46 and Main Drain Road, deputies said.Ngyen was arrested on charges of driving without a license and failure to yield.
