3 Arrested While Visiting Jail

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Kern County Sheriff's Department said that three people have been arrested after they were found with contraband on the jail grounds.Detentions deputies at the Lerdo Detentions Center said that on Saturday, they made three arrests of visitors who were in possession of contraband on the jail grounds.They said that In three separate incidents, detentions deputies searched the visitors’ vehicles and discovered contraband leading to the following arrests:
Estioko Gabriel Garcia, 18, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon on jail grounds.
• A doublebladed knife totaling 12 inches in length was seized during this arrest, deputies said.
Tanya Sue Beck, 20, was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs other than controlled substances on jail grounds.
• A small bag of marijuana seeds was seized during this arrest, deputies said.
Tammy Lee Turner, 44, was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs other than a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of alcohol on jail grounds.
• A marijuana pipe with marijuana in it was seized during this arrest, as was a bottled alcoholic beverage, deputies said.
