2 Arrested After Pursuit In Oildale
Deputies: Occupants Were In Stolen Vehicle

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- After a pursuit in Oildale, the Kern County Sheriff's Department said that two people have been arrested.Around 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the area of Warren Avenue and Date Street in Oildale regarding a reported stolen vehicle.When deputies arrived, they said they attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Sequoia Drive and Sharon Lane.
The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Orr, 26, refused to stop and led the deputies on a short vehicle pursuit in Oildale, deputies said.The vehicle was involved in a minor traffic collision and Orr fled the scene on foot, deputies said.Deputies were able to find Orr and arrested him on charges of grand theft auto, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, evading an officer, and resisting arrest.A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Misty Roth, was arrested on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
