UPDATED: 2:16 pm PST March 1, 2010

The Kern County Sheriff's Department said that two people have been arrested after they were found in possession of 25 grams of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Around 6 a.m. on Monday, the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team (K-NET) coordinated with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Sequoia Drive.

During this investigation, two adults were arrested on various narcotics violations and outstanding arrest warrants.

As officers conducted their search of the property, approximately 25 grams of methamphetamine, less than one ounce of marijuana, and evidence consistent with narcotic sales and trafficking were located and seized, deputies said.

The methamphetamine had an estimated street value of $2,500, deputies said.

As a result of this investigation, one woman and one man were taken into custody and booked into the Central Receiving Facility.

Sandra Kay Hill, 55, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and under the influence.

Derek Dean White, 29, was arrested on charges of two misdemeanor warrants, under the influence, possession of marijuana and providing false information to a peace officer
