Man Accused Of Attempted Robbery

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for attempted robbery.Around 4 a.m. on Feb. 17, a man was captured on video surveillance, and he attempted a robbery at the pharmacy counter at the Walgreens, 9550 Hageman Road, Sgt. Mary DeGeare said.The man then ran when the pharmacist called for help, DeGeare said.
The man is described as white, between 28 and 35 years old. He is said to be between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall with a heavy build. He is said to have a light complexioned, slight goatee and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is encouraged to call Detective Martin Heredia at 326-3873.
