ARVIN -- A woman has taken a plea deal in connection with the largest identity theft investigation in this city's history.
Hilda Perez Rodriguez pled guilty Wednesday to two felony counts in exchange for charges on nine other counts to be dropped.
She was arrested during a traffic stop Oct. 5, in which Arvin police located dozens of documents, including driver's licenses, U.S. Treasury checks, and phone bills.
Around 170 people have now been affected by the identity theft, according to Arvin police officials.
Rodriguez was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.
