Fire Erupts Near Pyramid Lake Closing 2 NB Lanes On I-5

CASTAIC, Calif. -- A wildfire is burning near the Interstate 5 freeway in Castaic northwest of Los Angeles and two northbound lanes have been closed.Los Angeles County fire Inspector Steve Zermeno says the fire was reported at around 12:45 p.m. Monday off the freeway and has grown to at least 100 acres.Newhall California Highway Patrol is reporting that the two northbound lanes on Interstate 5 will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
No homes are nearby and there have been no injuries.
