Police: Suspicious Man Accosts 2 Young Girls

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Police are looking for a suspicious man after they say he approached two young girls walking home from school in southwest Bakersfield.According to the Bakersfield Police Department, as the girls were walking near Akers and Berkshire roads around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, a Hispanic man, called out to them and said in Spanish "come here."Police said the girls were scared and ran to one of their homes, where the mother of one of the girls saw the man standing outside. Police said when the mother opened the door, the man said in Spanish, "Give me the girls." She closed the door and he walked off.
The man is said to be in his 60's. He is about 5 feet 5 inches tall with black hair and was last seen wearing a white jacket, white tank top and green dress paints.Anyone with information is asked to contact the BPD.
