Erin Briscoe has been with 23 ABC since 2008. She currently anchors the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. news and continues to cover news in Southwest Bakersfield as a reporter.

Erin began her career in journalism as a producer at 23 News but was promoted to a reporter just after a few months.

You'll see her covering stories that affect the community as well as stories that make Kern County so unique.

Erin was given the opportunity to visit St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee to cover several stories that aired during the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway telethon. And while she loves the excitement of breaking news, she loves telling stories of inspiration.

Erin graduated from Cal. State Northridge with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

When she's away from work, Erin likes exploring all of what Kern County has to offer from going to the Kern River to enjoying the Tehachapi mountains.
