Teacher Education Orientation Sessions Scheduled

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The California State University, Bakersfield School of Education is hosting two information and application sessions for admission into the multiple and single subject programs.The sessions will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Oct. 2 in the Dezember Leadership Center on the university campus.Attendance at one of the two sessions is mandatory for all program applicants.
“The first session will really target individuals who wish to teach elementary school,” said Jacqueline Hughes, education professor. “The October session will help those who are interested in middle and high school teaching careers.”Those who attend a session will receive an overview of the program requirements, coursework, program length and how to apply to the program.To qualify for the multiple subject or single subject teacher credentialing program, applicants must have post-baccalaureate status from an accredited university and meet minimum qualifications to begin the state credentialing program.
