CSUB Barbecue, Carnival To Benefit Those In Need

POSTED: 3:18 pm PST November 2, 2009

California State University, Bakersfield's Theta Chi fraternity will hold a barbecue and carnival on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 1 to 7 p.m. in Runner Park, located on the northeast part of campus.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bakersfield Homeless Center. Admission to the carnival is $5 per person and free for children under the age of 10. The fraternity hopes to raise $5,000 for the homeless center.

The carnival will feature many family-friendly activities, including an inflatable boxing ring, hen house golf, bounce houses and pony rides. The barbecue will be provided by El Adobe Restaurant.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance or can be purchased the day of the event.
