14-Year-Old Arrested On Charges Of Sexual Battery With 13-Year-Old
Parents Bring New Information To Administration

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after the family of a middle school student told sheriff's deputies she had been touched against her will.Sheriff's officials said the alleged incident happened last October at Curran Middle School in southwest Bakersfield.The mother of the 13-year-old girl told deputies that her daughter had been touched by a classmate who grabber her against her will.
She also claimed that she was never notified by school administrators.Following an investigation, deputies arrested the 14-year-old boy at Stiern Middle School on charges of misdemeanor sexual battery.In a statement released by the Bakersfield City School District, administrators said, “In October of 2009, an incident occurred at Curran Middle School. The pertinent parties were interviewed and based on the presented information, appropriate disciplinary measures were imposed.”On Wednesday, a student and parent visited the school’s office and presented different information than originally communicated from all pertinent parties in October.Based on Wednesday’s allegations, the district said it’s conducting another investigation.The 14-year-old is no longer in custody and has been released to his parents.The charges against him still stand.Curran Middle School In The News
