Physical Therapy Assistant:
Position Summary:
Provides Physical Therapy services to patients by assisting in the assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication. Functions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Adheres to applicable principles and practices of physical therapy, American Retirement Corporation/Innovative Senior Care policies and procedures and state regulations.
Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications:
1. Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
2. License to practice as a physical therapy assistant within the state.

Assists the Registered Physical Therapist, Registered Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant and the Speech Language Pathologist as directed in the provision of services to insure that quality care is being provided to each patient. The rehabilitation aide may be called upon to participate in administrative duties. The rehabilitation aide is directly responsible to the licensed therapists.
