Four champions have led the Masters from the first to final rounds: Craig Wood (1941), Arnold Palmer (1960), Jack Nicklaus (1972) and Raymond Floyd (1976).
Tiger Woods posted the largest margin of victory with his 12-stroke win in 1997. At 21 years, 3 months 14 days, Tiger Woods became the youngest Masters champion in 1997. Jack Nicklaus was the oldest Masters winner when he won a green jacket at 46 years, 2 months 23 days in 1986. The winner of the Masters gets a green jacket. Traditionally, the winner takes the jacket home for one year, then returns it to the club when he returns for the next year's tournament. It is then kept at Augusta and available for the champion's use whenever he visits. Typically, multiple winners receive just one green jacket, unless his size has drastically changed. It is a Masters tradition that the previous year's champion presents the green jacket to the new winner. The defending champion selects the menu and acts as the host for the "Champions Dinner," which is held the Tuesday before the tournament. Examples of dinner menus include:-- Ben Crenshaw, 1996: Texas BBQ, Angus beef brisket, Saint Louis style pork ribs, hill country sausage, peach cobbler-- Tiger Woods, 1998: Cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, french fries, strawberry and vanilla milk shakes, strawberry shortcake-- Vijay Singh, 2001: Seafood tom kah, chicken panang curry, baked sea scallops with garlic sauce, rack of lamb with yellow kari sauce, baked filet Chilean sea bass with three flavor chili sauce, lychee sorbet.
