San Francisco, CA -- (Sports Network) - Tim Lincecum struck out eight over eight innings, and Jose Castillo went 4-for-4 with a double and knocked in one run, as the San Francisco Giants trounced the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-2, in the second of three games at AT&T Park.Randy Winn and Aaron Rowand each had three hits, including a homer for the Giants, who snapped a five-game losing streak. Omar Vizquel, playing in his first game of the year after missing the first 36 while recovering from left knee surgery, went 3-for-5 and scored a run as part of San Francisco's 15-hit attack. Lincecum (5-1) allowed just two runs on four hits while walking just one.
"Today everything felt good," Lincecum said. "My change-up was good when I needed it to be and my curveball was there when I needed it to be also. I didn't throw too many sliders, but I just felt like I had a knack for things going. It was one of those days where everything fell into place." Ryan Howard and Chris Coste each homered for the Phillies, who are 3-3 on their seven-game West Coast swing. Jamie Moyer (2-3) took the loss after being shelled for six runs on nine hits in four innings. Howard laced a Lincecum fastball over the wall in left to give the Phils a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, but Rowand tied the game by leading off the bottom of the frame with a long homer to left-center. Castillo followed Rowand with a double to deep center, then moved to third on Emmanuel Burriss' sacrifice bunt. Dan Ortmeier walked, and Lincecum grounded a single up the middle to plate Castillo. Singles by Winn, Rowand and Castillo loaded the bases with one out in the third, and Burriss brought Winn home with a sacrifice fly. Ortmeier followed with a drive to right that was out of the reach of Geoff Jenkins and fell for a two-run double and a 5-1 San Francisco edge. "My day wrapped around not making pitches deeper into counts," Moyer said. "In essence, I stunk today. I got what I deserved." Winn added a two-out solo shot to left in the bottom of the fourth. Lincecum set down nine straight after Howard's homer, but started the fifth with a walk to Pat Burrell and a single by Jenkins. But both runners were stranded after Lincecum struck out Coste and Pedro Feliz, then Ortmeier made a diving stop to retire pinch-hitter Greg Dobbs. Rudy Seanez loaded the bases with one out in the fifth, when Lincecum grounded the ball to Howard at first. Howard threw home for the second out, but Coste's throw back to first ended up in right field, allowing Castillo to score. Castillo added an RBI single in the sixth, and while Coste pulled a run back for the Phils with a solo homer in the eighth, they couldn't get any closer. Game Notes Before the game, the Giants recalled Vizquel from his rehab assignment at Single-A San Jose and activated him from the disabled list. To make room on the roster, infielder Brian Bocock was optioned to Triple-A Fresno. Vizquel...The Giants improved to 2-3 against the Phillies this season...Brian Wilson threw a scoreless ninth for San Francisco...Adam Eaton (0-1) takes the mound for Philadelphia against Jonathan Sanchez (2-2) when the series concludes on Sunday.
