Bastad, Sweden -- (Sports Network) - Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark will try for her third WTA Tour singles title of 2009 against Spain's Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez in the final at the Swedish Open after both were semifinal winners on Friday.

Wozniacki, the top seed and world No. 9, toppled third-seeded Flavia Pennetta of Italy, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. Martinez Sanchez won a battle of unseeded players with a 7-5, 6-4 triumph over Argentina's Gisela Dulko.

Saturday will mark Wozniacki's 19th birthday as she will try to celebrate with a sixth career singles crown. She won titles earlier this year at Ponte Vedra Beach and Eastbourne, while also losing in title matches at Memphis, Charleston and Madrid.

Martinez Sanchez has just one career WTA singles title and it came back in February when she beat Dulko in the Bogota final.

Wozniacki and Martinez Sanchez will meet for the first on Saturday.

This week's champion will pocket $37,000.
