The CSUB women's basketball team played its final game of the season back on March 6th... that is until the Lady Runners received some great news Monday night, that they earned a spot in the Women's Basketball Invitational.

Only 16 teams are invited, as CSUB's season continues on Wednesday. The Lady Runners will fly on Tuesday to take on Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Wednesday in the opening round.

CSUB earned the #7 seed in the West Bracket; Corpus Christi is the two.

The Women's Basketball Invitational features the top teams in the country, not selected for the NCAA Tournament or the WNIT.

The Lady Runners wrapped up the regular season with a record of 16-12.
