Bakersfield -- The Independence football team returned to practice Tuesday, while their thoughts and prayers remained with teammate Tyler Schilhabel, who was paralyzed from the chest down in an all-terrain vehicle accident over the weekend. The Falcons will play host to Ridgeview in Week-One this Friday and plan to wear special decals on their helmets to honor Tyler. Independence, like many schools around the Valley, will be raising money for the Schilhabel family to off-set some of the medical costs.
