BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Highland high basketball standout killed in a car crash over the Easter holiday was honored during an emotional memorial.
The service for 18-year-old Derrick Huff was held yesterday at Valley Bible Fellowship.
Duff was an MVP on Highland High's Varsity basketball team.
CHP said Duff was asleep in the backseat and not wearing a seat belt when the driver lost control of the Jeep and he was ejected.
A memorial fund has been set in Derrick Duff's name at Kern Schools Federal Credit Union.
