Lakers Assign Rookie Devin Ebanks to Bakersfield

Ebanks will make Jam debut Tuesday night vs. New Mexico

The Lakers have assigned rookie forward Devin Ebanks to Bakersfield of the NBA's D-League. Ebank joined the Jam on Monday for practice and will make his NBDL debut on Tuesday vs. New Mexico.

Ebanks played in a dozen games for the Lakers this season, averaging near three points per contest.

Ebanks told KERO's Pep Fernandez he's excited to see more playing time and improve his game, while being ready for a return to the NBA.

Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak is expected to be in attendance Tuesday night for the Jam's home game, to keep an eye on his rookie forward.

The Lakers selected Ebanks with the 43rd overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft out of West Virginia.
