WASCO, Calif. - Assemblyman Rudy Salas is angry that the Wasco football team was passed up for a state bowl birth.

The Tigers finished the season undefeated at 13-0 as the Central Section Division IV champions were passed up by the CIF for a Regional Division III bowl game.

This is the second consecutive year that a Valley champion has been passed up for state play by the CIF.  In 2011 Bakersfield High finished 13-0 but was passed up for a state birth as well.

The two teams chosen to play in the Division III Regional Bowl Game, San Diego Madison and Monrovia, had a combined three losses.
