BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. - The Bakersfield College softball team had mixed results in the its doubleheader against Valley.
In Game 1, the Renegades took a 3-1 lead on a three-run homer by Kassidy Ward in the second inning but gave up seven runs over the final five innings of a 10-4 defeat to Valley on Thursday afternon at Dean & Adah Gay Sports Complex.
The nightcap, however, was a show of toughness for BC, as they rallied from an 11-7 deficit in the bottom of the seventh by scoring five times for the come-from-behind 12-11 victory over Valley to earn the doubleheader split.
