BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield College baseball team didn't let a little 5-1 deficit get them down as the Renegades scored 10 runs over the final four innings of their 10-5 victory over Citrus in a Western State Conference affair at Gerry Collis Field Thursday afternoon.
Trailing 5-1 in the sixth inning, BC scored two runs and could've had more but Blayne Ontiveros was called out for leaving third base too early on a sacrifice fly, which ended the inning with BC trailing 5-3.
However, that didn't stop the Renegades offense from heating up for seven more runs over the final two innings to get the win and run their record on the season to 12-2.
