BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield College football team took a 28-7 lead into the half and finished off its 35-14 win over City College of San Francisco Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium to win the state championship before a raucous crowd of 11,769.

Running backs Curtis McGregor and Jalen Sykes, in addition to quarterback Brian Burrell, rushed for touchdowns and defensive lineman John Oglesby returned a fumble for a score as the Renegades scored quickly and often in the team's victory.

BC finishes the season on a nine-game winning streak to complete an 11-2 record.
