BCHS head coach Jerald Pierucci talks how to stop the Wasco run-game of Isaiah Sharp on Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The valley title game rematch tonight of Wasco vs. Bakersfield Christian High School is highlighted by the contrasting offensive styles of two Kern County heavy hitters. BCHS head coach Jerald Pierucci weighed in on how to stop the power run game of Wasco's Isaiah Sharp while allowing the mercuraial passing game of BCHS' Brandon Jones to flourish.

"The thing with Isaiah is you have to keep him from getting outside and in space," coach Pierucci told 23ABC before practice this week, "you have to keep him bottled up."

Wasco's lone-loss this season is to top-25 BHS and coach Pierucci isn't ignoring that fact.

"Of course everybody says they want to stop him," coach Pierucci explained, "but it's tough to get done, he's a heck of a running back. We talk about building a wall and that's what we have to do on Friday night to have success against him."
