BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - BHS Brandon Shelton's second-quarter dunk ignited the Drillers on a 7-0 run to help defeat Mira Monte, 57-31, at the Garces Holiday Hoops Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.
The Drillers dominated the first half on their way to an 18-point halftime lead and never looked back.
BHS will take on East in a quarterfinal matchup Thursday at 5:55 pm.
