BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Blaze took a 5-2 lead into the ninth inning only to see Lake Elsinore score six times, the big blow being Jeremy Baltz's three-run homer, in the Storm's 8-5 come-from-behind win over the Blaze Friday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
The game was scoreless until the fifth when the Blaze scored three runs, two on a single from Ryan Wright to score David Vidal and Chris Berset for a 2-0 Blaze lead.
Juan Silva extended the lead to 3-0 in the fifth with a RBI double down the leftfield line.
Steve Selsky extended the lead to 4-2 in the sixth with his 10th homer of the year, a solo shot.
However, the Blaze would give it all away in the ninth when the Storm scored six runs on four hits.
The same two teams meet again in the third game of the four-game series Saturday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark in a 7:45 start.
