Blaze defeated once again by San Jose, go down 6-1

Blaze lose to Giants

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Blaze trailed 2-0, cut the deficit to 2-1 but ultimately lost, 6-1, to the San Jose Giants for a second consecutive night.

The Giants took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on the strength of a Myles Schroeder two-run homer but the Blaze came back in the bottom half of the inning and cut the deficit to 2-1 on a RBI single from Dominic D'Anna.

However, the Giants scored four times over the final four innings to extend the lead and get the victory.

The final game of the series is set for a 7:30pm start Wednesday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
