BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Blaze lead 2-0 after two innings but San Jose outscored them 10-1 over the final seven innings of a 10-3 defeat of the Blaze Tuesday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
After getting a 2-0 lead on the strength of a triple from Juan Silvieri, which drove in Yorman Rodriguez and Juan Duran, the Giants bats took over.
San Jose hit three homers to break a 3-3 tie in the fourth inning, including the second homer of the night for catcher Jeff Arnold, who drove in four runs on the night.
They scored five in that fourth inning to take an 8-3 lead and the Giants never looked back.
The two teams tackle one another Wednesday night in a 7:30 start at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
