BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Lancaster outfielder Preston Tucker's three-run homer in the seventh inning ended any hopes of a comeback as the Jethawks pounded out 13 hits in their 11-2 rout of the Blaze Tuesday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Lancaster led 4-1 in the seventh when Tucker's towering three-run homer off Blaze reliever Jimmy Moran cleared the left-centerfield wall to extend their lead to 7-1.
The Jethawks scored four runs in the first inning, including a two-run single from Carlos Perdomo to extend their 2-0 lead to 4-0.
Yovan Gonzalez drove in the Blaze first run of the game in the sixth with a RBI single.
The same two teams meet in the series finale Wednesday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark at 7:45.
