BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Golden Valley boys soccer team defeated Porterville-Monache, 2-0, to win the Division II boys area title Friday night at Golden Valley.
This was the third consecutive year the Bulldogs had made it to the championship game but were denied on both occasions.
Friday night proved to be their night when senior Fabian Solorio added an insurance goal in the second half of a 1-0 Golden Valley lead for insurance to help lead his team to the championship.
