BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Cal State volleyball team rebounded from a 2 games to 1 deficit and defeated Cal Poly in five games Tuesday night at the Icardo Center.
The win was the fifth in a row for the Roadrunners, who rode the efforts of Debora Arajo's season-high 27 kills and Shayna Guitare's 14 kills and eight digs.
CSUB trailed, 24-22, in Game 4 before scoring the final four points of the game for a 26-24 win to force a deciding Game 5.
In the deciding game, CSUB jumped out to a 10-5 lead before the Mustangs rallied to tie it at 10-apiece. To kills from Guitare and a pair of aces from Junior Lisa Bartsch set the stage for the Roadrunners getting the final point for the victory.
