BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Centennial High football team is looking for a brighter future by looking at its past.

Ridgeview Athletic Director Kevin Sneed was hired Wednesday as the new football coach at Centennial High.

Sneed replaces Bryan Nixon, who left to take over at Liberty in the same capacity in January.

Sneed coached at West for nine years, including winning three South Yosemite League crowns and a section runner-up in 1988.

He also won three league crowns in his three seasons as the Centennial head football coach from 1998-2000
