Condors take a flier and hire Mann as their next head coach

Mann set to take over as Condors head coach

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - After weeks of speculation, the Condors announced the hiring of their new head coach in Troy Mann.

Mann was most recently an assistant coach for the past eight years with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

During that time, Mann helped the Bears to 180 wins, including a record-setting 60 wins in the 2009-10 season, a year which saw Hershey capture the Calder Cup.

Mann has ECHL head coaching experience, having coached the Columbia Inferno from 2006-08.

Although he wasn't at Friday's press conference to speak to the media, Mann will appear in Bakersfield to talk to the press in July.
