BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Manager Ken Griffey's Blaze squad returned to Bakersfield Thursday night for their home opener, hoping to stop a seven-game losing streak.
However, the familiar scenery didn't help as the Blaze were defeated by Stockton, 10-3, at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Former Centennial High standout Dusty Robinson came back home and had three RBIs, including a two-run homer.
Robinson's hits were part of a 13-hit attack from the Ports in handing the Blaze their eighth consecutive loss to begin the season.
The two teams meet again Friday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark at 7:15.
