BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Entering Monday night's game, the Kennedy and Bakersfield Christian boys basketball team were part of a three-way tie for second place in the South Sequoia League. The Eagles changed that after their 69-43 win over Kennedy on Monday night at BCHS.
The Eagles took a nine-point lead into the break and came out fired up in the third quarter. BCHS Sam Berkshire and his squad went on a 10-4 run to open the third quarter and expand their lead to 15 midway through the quarter.
The BCHS defense was tenacious in forcing turnovers and a pace which was uncomfortable for the Thunderbirds.
