BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Christian baseball team scored six times in the third inning to erase a 5-1 deficit and go on to an 8-6 win over Taft Friday afternoon at BCHS.
It was the second time this week the Eagles defeated Taft, as BCHS took a 5-4 decision at Taft on Tuesday afternoon.
With the win, the Eagles remained undefeated in South Sequoia League play with an 8-0 mark and own the tiebreaker with the Wildcats (8-2 in SSL Play).
Taft jumped out to an early 5-1 lead after two innings but BCHS came back on the strength of a six-run third, highlighted by three consecutive hits, which drove in a total of four runs.
