BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The East High boys basketball team rode a strong inside game to defeat Centennial, 72-40, in the first round of the East Tournament at East High school Wednesday night.
The Blades took a 32-point lead into halftime on the strength of an inside game led by 6-4 Tevin Beasley.
Centennial couldn't stop the Blades in the second half as East advanced to the quarterfinal round on Thursday.
