Former Bakersfield Blaze outfielder Billy Hamilton sets major league record

Stole four bases in his debut

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Former Bakersfield Blaze outfielder Billy Hamilton made major league history for stealing four bases in his debut, Wednesday. 

Hamilton, who plays for the Cincinnati Reds, became the first player since 1920 actually steal bases in his first time on the field. 

The rookie also added 2 hits, an RBI, and scored the winning hit in the 13th inning.

Hamilton also held the minor league record for most steals in a season.
