FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State standouts Derek Carr and Phillip Thomas attempt to defeat New Mexico Saturday in Mountain West Conference football action.
The Lobos are hosting the Bulldogs as Fresno State is coming off a 42-14 drubbing of Wyoming last Saturday.
A former Bakersfield Christian star, Carr threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns in the win, while Thomas, a former Bakersfield High standout, returned an interception for a score.
In addition to the win, Thomas found out this week he was added to the Watch List for the Chuck Bednarik Award, presented to the top college defensive player.
