BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Maggie Arriola's single in the sixth inning drove home Bree Bronkosky with the eventual winning run in Garces 3-2 victory over Ridgeview in a Central Section Division II softball semifinal Tuesday afternoon at Garces High.

The Rams defeated the Wolfpack for the third time in what was a see-saw battle throughout.

Garces opened the scoring in the first inning when Cassie Handle singled home the game's first run for a 1-0 Rams lead.

However, Ridgeview tied things in the third when Alyssa Gonzalez hit a bloop single down the left field line to drive in a run to make it 1-1.

Garces came back in the fifth when Naize Ubay singled home Arriola and the Rams regained the lead 2-1.

The Wolfpack wouldn't go away and tied it at two in the sixth on Andrea Rodriguez RBI single before the Rams would get the eventual winning run in the bottom half of the inning.

Garces advances on the road to play at either Hanford West or Lemoore in the Division II area final on Wednesday.
