BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Garces Rams led 21-10 at the half and continued their second-half offensive explosion on their way to a 49-21 win over Sanger to win the Central Section Division II championship at Garces Friday night.
Garces quarterback Cruise Adams threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns and running back Sheldon Croney ran for 214 yards on 25 carries, including touchdown runs of 75 and 54 yards. In the process Croney became the all-time single-season rushing leader in Rams history.
Garces finished the season 12-1, their only defeat a 10-point loss to Bakersfield High in September.
