BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The school is only a few years old, but the boys basketball team at Independence High has a veteran look, especially after the team's 58-50 win over Liberty Tuesday night to clinch the first Southwest Yosemite League title in boys basketball history.
Isaac Clark and Isaiah Henderson led the way for the Falcons, who won for the 22nd consecutive game, a school record which increases with each victory.
Both teams conclude SWYL play Thurday night.
