BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - CSUB Director of Athletics Jeff Konya, flirting with filling the same position at Cal State Northridge over the weekend, will stay with the Roadrunners after agreeing to a five-year extension with the school on Monday.
Konya was scheduled to meet with CSUN officials to talk about their vacant Athletic Director's position but CSUB President Dr. Horace Mitchell began talks with Konya, who decided the blue and gold was his personal preference.
Konya is in his second year at the helm after taking over for Rudy Carbajal in late 2010.
