BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Liberty used an attacking offense to score often in the second half and defeat Bakersfield Christian, 48-27, Wednesday night in the first round of the East Tournament at East High.
The Patriots had too much quickness and beat the Eagles press for layups and advance to Thursday's quarterfinal round.
Liberty will play Garces, a 64-52 winner over Frontier, in Thursday's quarterfinals.
