BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Liberty defeated Bakersfield High, 45-36, Tuesday night at Liberty in the Southwest Yosemite League opener for both teams.
BHS led by two at the half but the Patriots held BHS to 18 points in each half by playing stifling defense and solid offense.
The Patriots win came at home after the game, originally scheduled to be played at BHS, was switched due to scheduling conflicts.
